Today I bring you Steven and Chelsea’s Ceremony portion of their wedding at The Arbors in Troutman, NC. Wedding ceremonies are already a joyful and blessed experience but theirs was one to truly marvel at. First of all, with the bridal party going shoeless, one has to think of Moses being told that he was on holy ground and promptly removing his sandals. The tears that flowed during the worship portion and the reading of their vows spoke of their absolute love and respect to God and thankfulness for their union. One thing that Steven did that really stuck out to me was closing his eyes when he recited his vows, almost as if he were making a prayer. It was from the heart. See the Preparation Portion of the Wedding here.
Chelsea and Steven’s wedding at The Arbors is such a grand affair, I need to put it into 5 blog posts! So look forward to more images from their beautiful Spring wedding this week. Whether it was the gorgeous outdoor venue with touches of understated elegance, the fact that the bridal party were shoeless for the wedding, the wedding favors being money donated to a ministry in Kenya, or just the amazing moments of two families being joined into one, I will always love how Chelsea and Steven’s wedding turned out!
Taylor is one of bubbliest brides we’ve had to date. She loves to laugh, smile, and make sure you are joining in! Our first shoot with Taylor was for her and Billy’s engagement shoot in Boone, NC. In spite of the bitter cold weather, we had a blast and could not wait for their wedding!
They selected a beautiful estate in Cleveland, NC, The Arbors Events, for their wedding ceremony and reception location. Her dress was from our favorite bridal boutique in Charlotte, J Major’s. The day began with beautiful, hot Carolina weather, but quickly turned to almost black skies. It was sad to see the disappointment in each Billy and Taylor as their prepared for the day, but after 45 minutes of rain, the weather cleared! Friends and family were able to dry the chairs and start the ceremony only 30 minutes late. The weather was beautiful, the guests were happy and the sunset painted the sky purple and pinks. This was one of our favorite weddings to have been a part of. We’ve never laughed with so many people we did not know. It was truly a joyous occasion. Congrats Billy and Taylor!
