On Sunday, June 3rd, Erin Grey Couture launched their new gown designs at the Foundation for the Carolinas in Uptown Charlotte. This was a much anticipated runway show as the line is the new venture of CJ Bostrom, the owner of JMajors bridal. The premise for the line is based on the idea that a wedding dress does not necessarily have to be one piece but several. By creating different tops and skirts the bride could not only have a custom created dress that reflects her completely but also be able to use the pieces in other outfits if desired. This new generation of wedding dresses have given brides the opportunity to create their own look as opposed to a designer doing it for them. Brides and Charlotte wedding professionals alike attended the event and were wowed by the stunning dresses that CJ created. You can find the dresses at Erin Grey Couture and while you are at it book a consult with CJ and the girls over at JMajors Bridal Boutique.
Austin and Alexa’s uptown Charlotte wedding was held at the Van Landingham Estates. This was our first time shooting at this venue and we were pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous gardens, architecture and overall layout of the grounds. We had an incredible time with all of their family and friends and we captured so many amazing and beautiful moments. Enjoy!
Taylor is one of bubbliest brides we’ve had to date. She loves to laugh, smile, and make sure you are joining in! Our first shoot with Taylor was for her and Billy’s engagement shoot in Boone, NC. In spite of the bitter cold weather, we had a blast and could not wait for their wedding!
They selected a beautiful estate in Cleveland, NC, The Arbors Events, for their wedding ceremony and reception location. Her dress was from our favorite bridal boutique in Charlotte, J Major’s. The day began with beautiful, hot Carolina weather, but quickly turned to almost black skies. It was sad to see the disappointment in each Billy and Taylor as their prepared for the day, but after 45 minutes of rain, the weather cleared! Friends and family were able to dry the chairs and start the ceremony only 30 minutes late. The weather was beautiful, the guests were happy and the sunset painted the sky purple and pinks. This was one of our favorite weddings to have been a part of. We’ve never laughed with so many people we did not know. It was truly a joyous occasion. Congrats Billy and Taylor!
