Wedding: Erik & Katie
Wedding: Scott & Tania
This is a wedding I had been looking forward to for a long time. Scott and Tania are such a modern and classy couple with impeccable taste in venue and style as shows through with their wedding being held at the Urban Garden in Uptown Charlotte, NC. The soft light and modern lines of the venue gave the added kiss of elegance to put this wedding over the top, especially with the pink and silver accents. Also featured on Style Me Pretty.
Family: Keeners
I had the chance to do a quick session with the Keeners of in the French Quarter of uptown Charlotte a couple months ago. Their little girl is growing so fast!

A couple months ago, I had the opportunity to photograph a ballet inspired fashion spread for Charlotte Wedding Magazine.

Wedding: Houston & Dani
I love intimate weddings. Seriously, with all of the hubbub that is inherent with a wedding, I do not know why more couples do not opt for them. Houston and Dani are a couple after my own heart. Their wedding was a family affair. It really seemed that it was not just friends attending but family members that were so close it all seemed natural. The day just flowed in a way I wish all wedding days could. Everyone knew where and what needed to happen. It really made it all so seamlessly wonderful. You can also see this wedding in print in the most recent edition of Carolina Bride!

Location: The Field Trial Barn at Anne Springs Close Greenway
Family: Byrums
This beautiful session was captured at The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, SC. The Byrums are not only incredibly talented photographers but fantastic people to be around. They have such a happy demeanor about them that it is just infectious. Aaron loved to play it up for the camera with his “serious poses” and Kristin just looked fabulous as usual.
Engagements: Steven & Chelsea
Steven & Chelsea are one of those couples that you just cannot help but love. They are so full of joy, love, and laughter that it is infectious.

Charlotte Wedding Magazine
What happens next, what led them here. The master photographers know that anticipation is one of the strongest elements you can insert into your photographs. It is the question that the photograph asks you yet never fully answers. The anticipation for resolution. I think that all great photographs have some form of anticipation in them. This is why, in wedding photography, the moment before the kiss is often far more impactful than the photo of the actual kiss. It is a crescendo of emotions and movement that create a visually dynamic image.
Other photographs include it in a much more subtle way. By carefully crafting the idea in your mind you can create a photograph that creates anticipation with spontaneity. This photograph was created for a Ballet inspired fashion shoot for Charlotte Wedding Magazine. It was a spontaneous thought that I had to showcase the back of the custom dress made by Caden Couture. Obscuring the model’s face and having her pose in a manner that leans to one side created a sense of anticipation as if she is waiting for something or someone with eagerness.
