Photographing photographers is always a tall order and though some may be a bit nervous to do so, I find it exhilarating as they know what will look good for the camera. The Petrinos of Charlotte Photography allowed me to photograph them and their newborn daughter Makenzie in their home. I feel that the photos of new parents interacting with their precious baby are so valuable to them as a family, more than just the posed (if not overposed) photos that we typically see on Pinterest of babies. I really enjoy capturing the genuine love and joy of new parents.

Classy and action packed are rarely both used to describe a reception but Will and Rackin’s wedding had oodles of it. The Carmel Country Club was the perfect venue offering plenty of space for dancing and elegant decor arranged by Dina Blazek.

This week, I will finish up with the reception photos from Will and Rackin’s wedding. One of my favorites by far, the setting was beautiful and the people got down!
Zac has been a friend of mine for the last couple years since I photographed the band he is the bassist for, Bruised But Not Broken. He might be the happiest and most passionate person I have ever met in my whole life and it really shows with his love for Emily. He is all about her. Emily is such a compliment for Zac. She is sweet, has great style, and a mean artistic streak. They wanted their engagement photos to be taken in a natural setting that was not ostentatious or overly dramatic (at least from the photos standpoint). With a simple backdrop and them both being very willing subjects, we set out to let our ideas run free. I am so very pleased to be their photographer and their complete trust really shows though in how genuine they are in these photos. Thank you, Emily and Zac!

I love classic wedding ceremonies. Will and Rackin’s was one of those. The backdrop of the Myers Park United Methodist Church only enhanced the feeling.

Helping hands of the bridesmaids. For Will and Rackin’s wedding at the Carmel Country Club.
Amy approached me about photographing her maternity session at Wing Haven Gardens. I jumped at the opportunity as Wing Haven is by far one of my favorite locations in Charlotte and Jim and Amy are such a fantastic and photogenic couple. The soft natural setting matched the look Amy wanted her maternity photos to have and we were blessed with gorgeous light that day as well.
