Another photo of Amy in the midst of the gorgeous greenery of Wing Haven Gardens. It suited her well as she wanted to really have a vibrant location to mirror her little boy who would be arriving soon. I love the soft natural textures that bolster the maternity session.
Amy just delivered her little boy 2 weeks ago, but I still want to share her wonderful maternity photos at Wing Haven Gardens. I love being a part of their growing family and sharing in the joy of a new life!
The Duke Mansion is a bit of a fairy tale location in Charlotte. There is not too much like it available to the public and the fact that we were able to photograph Ban’s Bridal Session there was extremely exciting to me. Ban was graceful in front of the camera and suited the location to a T.

Often I can feel that a wedding reception feels like more of a party rather than a celebration of the couple joining together. For Jim and Amy however, their family and guests were wholeheartedly about them and were so enthusiastic about their marriage. As with most receptions, the decorations were a main staple to it. For Amy, this was a chance for her to play with all the ideas that she had for her big day. Grays and yellows accentuated by milk glass tableware and in combination with the modern space of The Foundation for the Carolinas nestled in uptown Charlotte, gave a visual design feast for the guests. It was a smorgasbord and all I had to do was point and click.

The Flower Girl gets a little impatient with how long the first dances are taking during Jim and Amy’s wedding reception at Foundation for the Carolinas.

Jim and Amy’s wedding was one of the highlights of my year. From the get go, Amy painted me a picture of her wedding with it’s grays, whites, and yellows. All accentuated by her huge collection of milk glass tablewares. Being a designer herself, she could not wait to dive in and make her vision a reality. Her and Jim are one of my favorite couples as they just love one another, Amy loves Jim’s big heart and vivacious personality while Jim adores Amy and always seeks to make her laugh! I love this portrait of Amy. I had Jim over my shoulder complimenting her and singing her praises. They are one of my favorite couples to photograph as they just work together. Jim is incredibly thoughtful and Amy adores him in every way.
