There is a park in France that captures my heart. To gaze upon it is a delight and to walk in it excites a tranquility to my soul. A venerable palace for my being. This is a place that has been hundreds of years in the making. The creating, aging, and settling are all part of the process that makes it grand. The time is what makes it special. A cornucopia of grass, water, and trees. The finely manicured hedges and purposeful placement of each plant makes my heart sing. Their rigid lines and geometric shapes praising man’s dominion over nature. It is wilderness on our terms.
Bridals: Jacki
I had been looking forward to photographing Jacki’s bridal session at Winghaven Gardens ever since she suggested the location. I had photographed her sister Katie’s bridal session there a few years earlier so having the opportunity to see the garden in a new way enticed me. I love the garden as it offers history and a natural tamed beauty that is not readily available in Charlotte.
One Frame: Dave & Jesse
Dave and Jesse were married at the wonderfully secluded Oaks at Salem. They gaze out over the pond to the tree where they were wed.
Abstractions
Wedding: Jon & Niki
Jon and Niki had a classic wedding at the Great Aunt Stella Center in Charlotte, NC.
I loved all of the grey, black and white details. Simple and sophisticated.
Bridals: Jacki
One of the upcoming bridal portraits of Jacki at Wing Haven Gardens in Charlotte, NC.
Engagements: Jim & Amy

Family: Byrums
This beautiful session was captured at The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, SC. The Byrums are not only incredibly talented photographers but fantastic people to be around. They have such a happy demeanor about them that it is just infectious. Aaron loved to play it up for the camera with his “serious poses” and Kristin just looked fabulous as usual.
